Process Engineer

Location: Newton Abbot

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 5:00

What would you do as our Process Engineer

As our Process Engineer, you will look to improve process flow in assembly and other primary processes, drive automation implementation and use Lean principles of Flow such as TAKT, SMED and Value Analysis to reduce costs. As part of this exciting opportunity you will project manage manufacturing associated projects including factory new layouts as well as supporting new product introductions with cost analysis and prototype development.

You would also:

  • Develop alternative production methods using Lean tools and techniques.

  • Support automation and robotics implementation while designing factory layouts and equipment.

  • Determine plant and equipment investment needs, including ROI justifications.

  • Engage in value engineering to reduce costs and design manufacturing processes for new products.

  • Take responsibility for NPD implementation, ensuring adherence to standards and maintaining health and safety practices.

    The skills and experience you need

    We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of project management

  • Has proven experience of improving productivity in a professional environment

  • Is an Engineering Apprentice with ONC/HNC in Man/ Mechanical Engineering or a Graduate with BSc/BEng in Man/Mechanical Engineering

  • IOSH or NEBOSH
