Job Opportunity: Senior Psychiatrist - New York

Role Overview: The Senior Psychiatrist leads a compassionate team in providing holistic care for incarcerated patients. They work closely with mental health and medical teams, focusing on evidence-based practices and supporting staff growth and development.

Education

  • M.D. or D.O. degree with active NY State license in good standing

  • Completion of a 4-year psychiatric residency training program

  • Active certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry

Experience

  • At least two years of post-residency experience working with individuals with mental illness in a criminal justice setting (jail, prison, probation and/or parole) or public health community setting

  • At least one year of ? post-residency experience in a supervisory role in psychiatry

  • At least one year of post-residency experience working with individuals with serious mental illness

  • An equivalent and satisfactory combination of education and experience may be considered
