The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Department of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University is seeking a Project Coordinator to join Dr. Chunhua Weng's research lab. The successful candidate will assist in activities related to the coordinating of projects in Dr. Weng's lab.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day administration (e.g., interface with department administrators for progress reports and expenses monitoring, keep track of projects milestones and deadlines and ensure these are met on time).
  • Coordination of research-related activities (e.g., schedule research activities, document meeting minutes).
  • Documentation to monitor and track progress (e.g., IRB protocols, progress reports for funding agencies).
  • Communication with different projects stakeholders, including research collaborators and research participants.
  • Participation in research participant recruitment activities (e.g., email, online live sessions, face to face).

Minimum Qualifications

Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and training, plus two years of related experience.

Other Requirements

The candidate will work primarily under the direction of the Principal Investigator, Dr. Weng. He/she will work closely with the research team, research collaborators at Columbia University and at partner institutions, research participants, and will interact with Columbia and funding agency administration.

The candidate must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and ability to work under deadlines. The position requires exceptional oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and experience and comfort working independently on multiple projects.
