GENERAL FUNCTION

This position is responsible for developing and implementing short-term and long-term communication plans that engage LensCrafters’ stores and field leaders and align to business priorities. This role provides communications counsel, message development and scheduling for internal deployment across all levels of the stores’ organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Counsel and coach internal partners and colleagues on strategic and basic business communications skills and practices, while leading the communications process from concept to completion.

  • Lead development, planning and execution of run-the-business, operational, policy change communications and special projects as needed.

  • Drive new approaches to deliver communications in more efficient and effective ways by benchmarking industry best practices, challenging processes and recommending and incorporating new approaches.

  • Develop and write communications in a variety of voices and styles for numerous channels, including email and internal communication platform.

  • Work directly and collaboratively with clients and leaders to identify projects and create timely, effective and meaningful communications.

  • Support social media channels and integrate into communications plans as appropriate.

  • Manage the measurement and analyze the effectiveness of LensCrafters’ communications efforts and develops recommendations for ongoing improvement.

  • Partner with agency and in-house design and multi-media partners as content developer and/or project manager on specific projects.

  • Lead cross-functional teams and programs and coach team members.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications or related field

  • 5+ years experience in communications, ideally in internal and change communications

  • Exceptional project management skills with proven ability to plan,develop and deliver content across a variety of channels (online/intranet, social media, print, multimedia, video, events)

  • Superior writing and editing skills, including knowledge of AP style; ability to write in a variety of styles/voices

  • Expertise in translating business concepts into simple, compelling narratives using different channels and tactics with minimal direction

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Clear communications, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with tight deadlines

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment

  • Ability to keep sensitive business/personnel information confidential

  • Flexibility in hours worked (i.e. may need to arrive early or stay late)

  • Proficiency of Windows software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

​Pay Range: 105,760.80 - 152,692.80

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
