The Fountainhead Group is looking for a Engineering Test Technician to join our FGI Family and support as a member of the Product Engineering Team. Relocation Package Available!!

In this role, you will be responsible for a range of technical tasks related to new product development of electro-mechanical lawn and garden devices.

POSITION: Engineering Test Technician

REPORTS TO: Systems and Compliance Supervisor

POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for a range of technical tasks related to new product

development of electro-mechanical lawn and garden devices.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work directly with design and system engineers assembling prototypes and fabricating small components.

Perform electrical and mechanical prototype and product testing per established test protocols.

Familiar with both mechanical and electronic components

Collect and analyze data during testing.

Responsible for maintaining tools, ensure inventory of borrowed tools and notify supervisor of any repairs and/or replacements needed.

Take direction from design engineer, system engineer and/or supervisor to conduct research on electrical and mechanical components.

Perform technical tasks which include test equipment setup, running tests, creating lab reports, generation of test equipment specification and purchase requests.

Aid in development of testing procedures and documentation.

Solid modeling tasks to support testing fixtures and new product development.

Basic maintenance of tools and equipment.

All other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

SKILLS NEEDED:

Associate Degree with 1-2 years of experience in a test lab setting required

Mechanical and Electronics experience required

MET or EET related college coursework

Ability to follow direction and see it through to completion.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Basic machining and fabrication skills preferred.

Understanding basic principles of 3D CAD software, SolidWorks is a plus.

Experience with a 3D printer, a plus
