DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Warranty Planning & Engineering Supervisor is involved in all aspects of the Warranty Parts Return Center (WPRC) from a planning and supplier perspective. Their focus will be on supplier recovery, core processing, improvement of warehouse process, and coaching of staff. They should have strong supervisor, coaching, time management and presentation skills. Their focus will be on quality improvement, engaging with dealers, and developing relationships with AG colleagues and suppliers to optimize quality and recovery. This position requires regular, full-time attendance at the WPRC facility.

While in this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees in supplier recovery and core processing. You will monitor, track, and report daily performance in areas of parts processing, quality, and shipments. You will directly oversee and lead Supplier Verification, Bin Closing, Core Processing, and Warranty Engineers. You will support the growth of existing and new remanufacturing projects by establishing core inspection, sorting, storing, and shipping guidelines.

A key responsibility in this role is optimizing supplier recovery. You will collaborate with AG Recourse Engineers and US Product Engineers to establish WPRC parts inspection processes and provide feedback to business partners to steer supplier recovery. You will steer dealer behavior utilizing various means of communication to ensure proper repair and diagnostic processes are followed and parts damaged by outside influence are not claimed under warranty. You will communicate, negotiate, and collaborate with BMW partners and suppliers to ensure BMW quality standards are met.  * Audit suppliers' test results and analysis processes to ensure they are in accordance with BMW's standards.  * Assess suppliers' failure acceptance rates and determine if low acceptance can be attributed to a supplier or dealer behavior issue.  * Travel domestically and internationally to perform supplier audits and to present WPRC topics in various meetings and forums.  * Development and implementation of corrective measures through various communication methods (i.e., email, Service Roundtables, DCS Messages, and Part Replacement Manual).  * Implement and improve processes related to communication, training, and digitalization to ensure WPRC core functions are efficient, impactful, and transparent.  * Involved in all aspects of the WPRC from a planning and operation perspective.  * Conduct analysis of failures by tracing the failure back to production, design, diagnostic, dealer, or field processes.  * Communicate quality issues identified through Problem Management Process and Technical Services.  * Responsible for the RTK / Core Part Programs while focusing on the developing Remanufacturing Programs.  * Direct supervision of team, while achieving the highest standards of Quality, Productivity and Customer Service levels to BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce, and Motorrad retail centers.  * Serve as disciplinary supervisor including hiring, training, reviewing, and performance managing associates.  * Set strategic directions of the department, manage process improvement, and exceed targets.  * Assist team with resource planning, scheduling, and workload balancing.  * Monitor and report daily department and employee performance in areas of quality, production, and process.  * Observe, analyze, audit warehouse processes and propose/implement improvements.  * Support the handling of WPRC Overhead and Direct financial cost and budget affairs, when necessary.  * Complete special projects as assigned.

The pay range for this role is: $91,500.00 - $107,600.00.

The selected candidate's education, skills, experience, and location will be used to determine the final salary offer. All pay ranges are based on a full-time work schedule. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Requirements:  * Automotive College Degree, Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience  * 2 - 4 years of: Wholesale/Retail automotive experience with good working knowledge of automotive  * technology  * 2 - 4 years of: Management Experience  * Policy creation and project planning experience  * ASE certifications or equivalent  * Minimum Certified BMW Technician, Master Level Preferred  * Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
