Position Description The Assistant Coach / Associate Head Coach - Offensive Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects of building a competitive NCAA Division III football program that advances the mission of intercollegiate athletics and the University. The assistant coach assists the head coach in student recruitment and retention; coaches student athletes and fosters their skill development; assists in coaching plans and implementation at practices and competitions; provides for students' safety, health and well-being; complies with NCAA, UMAC and university policies; provides sound fiscal management; assists in equipment oversight, scheduling, travel planning, and summer camps; assists in off-season programs and athlete development; and assists in program communication and fundraising efforts with the Head Coach. The assistant coach will work with the head football coach to build a shared vision, work collaboratively with the Office of Admissions, build and retain a diverse and talented team, foster good sportsmanship and a climate of respect, and provide an environment that supports students in achieving their athletic, academic and life goals. This is a full time 10-month annually renewable coaching appointment. Job title and competitive salary are negotiable with experience and a record of success. A Master's degree and coaching experience are preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate an appreciation for NCAA DIII, be self-directed and motivated, have success in recruiting and retaining student athletes, work with integrity, and bring skills and abilities needed to help advance the program.
