Description

Finance Data Group within Huntington Finance & Controllership partners with Regulatory Reporting, FP&A and Balance Sheet Management groups supporting key functions such as monthly/quarterly external report filings and internal management reporting and analytics.

The Senior Finance Data Reporting Axiom Developer has profound knowledge of the application they support. They will lead development of the application to ensure regulatory reporting is confident with the values being produced. Individuals in this role have excellent analytical and technical skills, in addition to a keen ability to determine specifications and standards for business reporting and maintaining data integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborator with regulatory partners to implement business requirement documents for the following reports: FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031, FR 2052a, FDIC 370, FR 2028D, FR Y-14Q, FR Y-14M, FR Y-14A, FR Y-9LP.

  • Document incidents from the time of inception to completion, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

  • Implement software releases and gather proper documentation to support business certification.

  • Perform Project and Branch migrations to and from DEV, QA, and PROD environments.

  • Create new designs, developments and configurations of Axiom objects such as DataSources, Data Models, Shorthands, Portfolios, Aggregations, Tabular Reports, and Freeforms.

  • Create process and procedure documents that align with controls and company policies.

  • Analyze and interpret data to ensure accuracy, relevance, and usefulness to reporting consumers.

  • Work across business lines to gather requirements and specifications while developing enhanced data and reporting tools.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree of a quantitative area; finance or IT focused.

  • 5+ years of experience in financial data, reporting, or application support (banking is preferred).

  • Knowledge and experience of data modeling and data warehouse concepts and applying those to software design and architecture.

  • Exposure to the following Regulatory Reports: FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031, FR 2052a, FDIC 370, FR 2028D, FR Y-14Q, FR Y-14M, FR Y-14A, FR Y-9LP.

  • Solid understanding of Axiom’s DataSources, Data Models, Shorthands, Portfolios, Aggregations, Tabular Reports, and Freeforms.

​Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ControllerView Axiom v9 and v10.

  • Knowledge of finance business processes and the interaction between systems and processes, including strong Excel skills and database query.

  • SOX compliance in a publicly traded company, the Record to Report (R2R) cycle, and the management reporting cycle.
