Let's Redefine Possible SUMMARY Responsible for leading a customer focused team and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction for BLU54 materials supplied to large construction projects. This position plays an integral role defining and managing a wide range of processes related to project execution including material supply strategies and order management. May manage Assistant Managers and Specialists. Hiring Location: Minneapolis, MN RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Relationships Develop and manage customer relationships at the management and executive level. Identify and engage with key customers and design partners to understand construction projects, schedule and material needs. Lead customer meetings for active projects or assign to specialists as appropriate. Effectively communicate our business model to project teams, design partners and project owners. Consistently provide responsive, quality service to meet and exceed customer expectations by regularly conducting reviews with customers at the management level. Develop processes and reporting to provide timely order information to customers. Lead contract negotiations with assigned customers as needed. Understand project risks and include appropriate contract terms. Ensure contract compliance. Strategy Development Provide strategy input to product team on project proposals and contracts. Identify and implement strategic initiatives related to successful project execution and delivery as it relates to BLU54 materials. Support business planning efforts providing business insight and collaborating on initiatives. Financial Develop and support monthly and annual financial reviews with project information, metrics, forecast and strategy. Coordinate with the financial team to identify and resolve customer billing issues as necessary. Assist leadership team with monthly and board forecasting efforts in partnership with Finance. Team Leadership Actively manage support resources to maximize potential with assigned customers. Lead account team to accomplish team goals. Develop team processes and metrics to consistently achieve an exceptional customer experience. As the customer lead, ensure all project deliverables are met through delivery and project close out with assistance from team. Resolves issues efficiently. Exercise excellent judgment in escalating issues. Lead the management of all project material deliverables from time of order through delivery and project close out and ensure deadlines are met. Provide insight to our BLU54 teams on how we can improve our processes and business to better align with the construction project needs. Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. Lead diversity, equity and inclusion activities for team as needed and promote the importance of this within the group. Lead team members by example, provide effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance. Serve as a key member of BLU54's Strategy Team. All other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Strong critical thinking ability, business insight, and data-driven decision making. Strategic - supply, financial, customer relationships. Negotiation skills and ability to influence without authority. Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback. Experience presenting to group leadership. Knowledge of construction processes and materials. Microsoft Office and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level. If no bachelor's degree, high school diploma/GED required with 10 years of experience. Minimum 8 years of experience. Experience in customer and vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
