This position is responsible for carrying out multi-craft industrial maintenance tasks, addressing production line maintenance concerns, and driving success in TPM through active participation in pillar activities. Safety Comply with all Lock-Tag-Try (LTT) procedures. Fix and report all unsafe work conditions. Notify member of Minneapolis Leadership Team in the case of any accident, near miss, or on-the-job injury. Maintenance Performs skilled abilities in examining production machines and equipment to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems to ensure equipment is electrically, mechanically sound and functions to company specifications. Assist in coordination of installation activities of new equipment with Engineering, Production and Maintenance personnel. Maintains and repairs equipment per the maintenance work order procedures. Assist in coordination of installation activities of new equipment with Engineering, Production and Maintenance personnel. Perform preventive maintenance inspections, tasks and repairs for production equipment and facility(s) structure(s). Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Perform any other task as directed by the Maintenance Leader. TPM Active contributor to the PM Pillar. Partners with AM activity team members to achieve TPM goals across the plant. Maintains all implemented 5S improvements and ensures housekeeping expectations. Perform all TPM duties necessary to ensure the safety of the plant and drive to successful attainment of zero losses, zero defects, and zero injuries Leadership Participation in continued education related to skilled abilities. Active contributor in the development of Maintenance Apprentices, peer mechanics, and production operators. SKILLS AND ABILITIES The employee should hold the following skills and abilities: Demonstrated quality and craftmanship and holds others accountable to this standard. Ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere with minimal direct supervision Demonstrated desire to have a positive impact on safety at the Minneapolis facility. Demonstrated mechanical, electrical and controls aptitude. Strong troubleshooting skills in all areas. Solid foundation in Reliable Work Practices and SAP interface preferred. Perform all TPM duties necessary to ensure the safety of the plant and drive to successful attainment of zero losses, zero defects, and zero injuries. COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, and PowerPoint) EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required. Minimum of 3-year experience in a Maintenance team. Preferably as a 1st Class Mechanic or Multi-Trade Technician. Manufacturing or process related experience. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance * Ability to routinely lift up to 80 ibs. with assistance Work up to 12 hours in extreme hot/cold manufacturing environment Walk/stand on concrete floor, as required during shift work lasting 8-12 hours Routinely ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
