Adecco US, Inc. Die Cast Techinician 1st Shift Req 1279 in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Adecco is now hiring for a Die Cast Technician that operates die casting machines to produce parts from nonferrous metals, like aluminum. The pay starts out at $20.00 an hour. The shifts are Monday through Thursday from 5:00am-3:00pm.

Essential Functions:

  • Adjusts valves to control the flow of water through dies.

  • Clears metal fragments from die surfaces using an air hose, and applies lubricant to die cavity and plunger.

  • Activates the plunger to close dies and inject molten metal into die cavities.

  • Removes castings from conveyor and places them into trim press, operating the trim press machine.

  • Inspects castings for defects, such as cracks or blisters, and may measure them using fixed gauges.

  • Operates deburring and related machines for drilling, deburring, grinding, blending, buffing, tumbling, or chamfering operations.

  • Regulates machine speed if required.

  • Performs maintenance and cleaning of machines.

  • Cleans furnaces and equipment if necessary.

  • Operates gas or electric powered forklift truck to handle metal within the facility.

  • Counts, weighs, and records the number of units of metal moved or handled.

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.

  • 1 month of related experience.

Preferred:

  • 6 months of related experience.

  • NADCA Level I Certification.

Physical Demand Factors:

The worker will frequently:

  • Reach by extending hands and arms.

  • Handle objects by seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise using hands.

  • Use fingers primarily for tasks such as picking or pinching.

  • Perceive attributes of objects by touch, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture.

  • Adjust vision to bring objects into sharp focus.

The worker will occasionally:

  • Climb, such as ascend/descend ladders or stairs where body agility is emphasized.

  • Maintain balance to prevent falls when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.

  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to access or handle objects.

  • Hear and identify sounds by ear.

  • Identify and distinguish colors.

Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
