Overview

M Health Fairview is looking for a Design and Production Project Manager to join our team! This position is mobile across our locations, helping plan and facilitate various projects throughout our system. We are approved for a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) on the day shift with no weekends required. This is a salaried role that starts at $45.86/hr and goes up with proven experience. Responsibilities Job Description

Job Summary:

The Design and Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects from concept through design and implementation of small to medium sized projects. Knowledge of design & engineering principles, building codes, regulatory requirements, and construction coordination is critical. Projects must support safe and reliable buildings and grounds and meet customer needs. Ability to deliver multiple projects on time and within budget is critical.

Job Expectations:

  • Manage capital projects to meet customer needs, budget and schedule. Manage the design and construction of hospital projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the customer’s needs. Meet with users and other project stakeholders to ensure their needs are met throughout project process. Develop meeting schedules and communication plan. Coordinate activities of architects, engineers, and contractors as needed. Ensure finished projects meet Fairview standards.

  • Ensure customers and other stakeholders are well informed of project status. Prepare monthly minutes, updated schedule and financial status. Stakeholders include Maintenance, Environmental Services, Infection Control, Information Management, Materials, and Security.

  • Work to ensure continuous quality improvement in all department areas. Identify, analyze, and prioritize problems. Investigates and responds appropriately to all customers and take effective corrective action when necessary.

  • Ensure effective utilization of financial resources based on the most cost-effective use of resources. Reviews project bids and collaborate with leadership on final bid acceptance. Work with department managers and other customers to develop and maintain the project budget. Updates leadership on project schedule, timeline or design changes resulting in overages. Seek additional approvals as required.

  • Prepare and deliver communication within the department to promote positive employee relations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associates Degree: Interior design or related Building/Construction Management Field or in lieu of Associates Degree, 5+ years of related health care experience.

Experience

  • 3 years project management

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Interior Design, Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture

Experience

  • 5 - 7 years project management experience

  • Health Care industry experience
