Administrative Assistant (Eligibility - Housing Choice Voucher Technician): $27.37/HR 8.00am - 4.30pm Mon - Friday (Weekly Pay) Objective: We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative/HCV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative tasks, housing eligibility, and knowledge in areas such as 'Section 8', 'Yardi', and possess excellent organizational skills. Requirements/Skills/Knowledge: Candidates will determine eligibility or continuing eligibility for Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program assistance, verifying accuracy of eligibility. Candidates will determine, calculate, and process a variety of forms and documents. The position requires individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy serving a diverse population. Duties/Responsibilities: Lease/Rentals/Data Entry/Customer Service Compiles necessary verifications of income/deductions and computes rent amounts for program admissions. Prepares and mail lease Addendum/Contract Addendum to all parties. Processes interim rent adjustment when there are program or benefit changes (e.g.., utility allowances, income /deductions, or contract rent increases). - Identifies unreported or misrepresented income and prepares a Repayment Agreement and submits to Finance for collection. -Works with property owners and private market landlords to promote quality and meaningful housing choices for program participants by explaining rent reasonableness and affordability guidelines and negotiating rents when they exceed these guidelines; Requirement: Associates Degree and Experience in LIHTC programs or similar populations. Candidates should have a strong computer skill (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook). Must have the ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks. Candidates with Yardi software experience will be highly considered.
