JOB REQUIREMENTS: Family owned machine shop is looking for a hands on 2nd shift Lead Machinist. This individual will be responsible for leading the shop in CNC Machining, Mills, Lathes, etc. We are looking for a team player; a true contributor, eager to learn our business and assist with the management of daily operations on the shop floor. 2nd shift works Monday - Thursday 3 pm - 1 am. Job Responsibilities: Keep all machinists on task (train if necessary) and provide direction. Quality control / inspection must follow ensure employees follow through on inspection of parts throughout the process Recommendations to Management regarding personnel decision including staffing, evaluations, discipline and compensation. Produces machining parts on intricate parts with knowledge of Machining centers and /or Turning centers. Ability to read routings, customer prints Proficiency necessary: Must have proficient knowledge of machining - lathes and mills, cutting tools, measuring tools and gauging processes. Analytical and problem solving skills Strong communication and planning skills The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of well rounded machining background High school diploma or GED required.
