If so, The Pfister is looking for a Cook II to be a part of our team and continue its iconic legacy. As a Cook II at The Pfister Hotel, you will be responsible for the quality control of items prepared. Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee has been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. The hotel is one of only 11 properties throughout North America to maintain the AAA Four Diamond designation since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in 1976. What you will be doing: Prepare station-specific food items according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality. Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and special items like stocks and sauces. Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas to meet Health Department regulations. Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational. Uphold high standards of food production and presentation. Maintain personal hygiene and sanitation practices. Manage station setup, breakdown, and prep work. Follow recipe specifications for all food preparation. What we are looking for: Previous cooking experience required, 1-2 years in a similar position preferred, Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred. High school diploma preferred. Must own a set of knives. Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc. Ability to lift, push, or pull weights up to 100 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods, work in a confined space with high levels of noise and frequent interruptions, and perform duties within extreme temperature ranges. Ability to obtain any local, state or federal license or certification for sanitation, liquor service, or food service certification. Must join H.E.R.E. Local 122 union. What\'s in it for you?
