JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: Identifies, selects, and manages global supplier relationships for assigned categories to ensure that products and services are delivered to the quality, cost and delivery performance levels required. May ensure all engineering, customer, security and EHS requirements are met. Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned categories. Executes sourcing vision and strategy for assigned categories, including BVC objectives and developing team synergy. Collaborates with other internal functions to ensure that we meet customer requirements. Monitors supplier relationships to ensure strategic alignment and sustainability. Ensures standardized processes are followed as required. Responsible for driving material cost downs, supplier terms improvement, Best Value Country (BVC) sourcing, NPD (new product development) launch support, category strategies and annual operations planning for a select group of categories. Manages global supplier relationships to ensure that products and services are delivered to the quality, cost and delivery performance levels required. Reviews RFQ packages and spreadsheet analysis to make recommendations for improvement. Identifies potential suppliers and makes recommendations on supplier selections based on total cost analysis and quality compliance. Performs supplier negotiations and determines most competitive total cost solutions using creativity and latitude. Defines, drives and implements continuous improvement projects to ensure objectives are met. Leads simplification in the overall Supply Chain process. Provides expertise to internal team as well as other internal functions. Major Responsibilities: Responsible for Sourcing Strategy of direct materials ranging from die casting, bearings, stampings, plastics, resins, and fabrications to name a few; collaborating with other Sourcing team members (electronics & NPD) Manage & coordinate all sourcing activities together with key stakeholders, having a satisfying performance on quality, delivery, cost performance and sustainability improvements Meet business objectives, including significant material cost downs, payment terms improvement and Best Value Country vs localization sourcing objectives, make vs buy analysis.
