Job Overview A Marketing Communications Specialist will be responsible for implementing communication strategies that support Strategic Marketing and Sales Plans for B2B and B2C markets. Strategies include, but are not limited to, digital marketing, social media, print advertising, media relations, sales support, web marketing, and tradeshows. The Marketing Specialist will be seen as a highly resourceful team player, who is comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient. The position requires excellent copy writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to balance working independently with providing time-sensitive support to internal and external customers. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communications Calendar: Implement and maintain communications calendar, including planning, scheduling, and tracking all activities. Proactively communicate project status and launch dates with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Marketing & Sales Collateral: Responsible for creating and maintaining marketing/sales collateral. Serve as the brand standards champion, ensuring correct application across all mediums.
  • Agency Management : Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external creative agencies. Act as the liaison between Strategic Marketers and the agency with the ability to translate technical information into bite size pieces.
  • Digital Management: Responsible for website management through prepopulated WordPress templates.
  • Social Media Content & Strategy: Create engaging content that resonates with B2B and B2C audience, while maintaining consistent brand alignment through voice adoption.
  • Tradeshows : Manage logistics including but not limited to, securing exhibition space, ordering products, negotiating with vendors, arranging travel and accommodations. Collaborate with Strategic Marketing to develop promotional materials such as brochures, giveaways, and presentations. Responsible for tracking and adhering to the budget.
  • Score Cards: Develop score cards that track relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that align with the sales and marketing goals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for storytelling through marketing.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices across B2B and B2C landscapes.
  • Expertise in content creation and copywriting through various marketing channels.
  • Proven ability to translate complex information into engaging and audience-specific content.
  • Analyze campaign performance and recommend data-driven optimizations for continuous improvement.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, or relevant field
  • 3-5 years' previous work experience in marketing or relevant experience
  • 1+ year of agency management experience
  • Experience in digital marketing platforms such as WordPress, Hootsuite, Constant Contact, Canva, and InDesign preferred

Working Conditions

  • Typical office environment, work from home on Fridays
  • Travel up to 5%
