General Summary:

The Senior Manager, Compute Consumer Channel Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the consumer channel sales strategy and identifying new opportunities to drive revenue and grow share of PCs enabled by Qualcomm Snapdragon technologies at large European consumer electronics retailers. The role requires deep engagement with PC OEM Consumer sales teams and top EU consumer electronics retailers as well as Microsoft. The Senior Manager, Compute Consumer Channel Sales will have had extensive experience in developing relationships at large, complex organizations globally. She or he will have managed to sales targets and goals. The understanding of technically complex products and experience on how to position these to a broad audience are critical.

Responsibilities Include the following

  • Build channel account plans with top consumer electronics retail partners, track progress, identify and address gaps to land a successful portfolio of devices in the market

  • Own and drive channel analytics for the Compute segment feeding high-value insights into product strategy, leadership meetings as well as customer discussions

  • Building pipeline, reviewing pipeline, and forecasting as well as providing additional required support

  • Managing relationships with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams including product, engineering, marketing, and sales sharing best practices

  • Responsible for managing relationships with key partners and vendors

Skills/Experience

  • Deep expertise of the Consumer Retail and Go-To-Market motion for PC OEMs

  • Intimate knowledge of the partner and customer engagement model, timelines and decision points to help align, intercept and influence decisions to assort and sell through a winning Windows on Snapdragon portfolio

  • Sales, product management or business development of complex technology products in compute businesses with knowledge of global dynamics of PC OEMs & consumer electronics markets

  • Strategic account management expertise, the ability to manage change and the desire to operate effectively across organizations and customers

  • Experience in sell-out and go-to-market with consumer electronics retailers and e-tailers in co-operation with PC OEMs

  • Expert technical understanding and hands-on experience in mobile and PC technologies

  • Proficient and detailed understanding of supply chain, product development and marketing of compute products such as notebooks, desktops, tablets, & mobile

  • Experience in negotiating and managing pricing & Marketing funds with large consumer electronics channel partners

  • Ability to communicate, educate and evangelize both internally and externally

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Creative problem solving with strong analytical skills

  • Self-motivated and result-driven

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8 + years consumer channel (retail, online) and marketing experience in technology companies

  • Native Spanish or Italian and fluent English

  • Masters degree in business or technology preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must be highly proficient in English and French. Additional proficiency in Spanishwould be beneficial.

  • Ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships and rapport with senior business stakeholders

  • Ability to convey information clearly and accurately with great credibility

  • Ability to be organized, resourceful and adaptable

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology or related business field

  • 8+ years in sales, business development, product management or related work experience in PC industry and/or large consumer electronics retailer

  • 10+ years in sales, business development, product management or related work experience in PC industry and/or large consumer electronics retailer
