ROLE DEFINITION

As a Quality Control Laboratory Technician you will provide high-quality analytical data to release products in support of the objectives and goals of the Automotive Adhesives & Fluids business.

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION

Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:

  • Analyze samples according to the sample plan

  • Prioritize and analyze special request samples

  • Use tools and apply basic statistics to evaluate the validity of data and compare to specification limits, in order to determine and take appropriate actions

  • Document, communicate, and archive results

  • Follow appropriate retest / resample procedures as outlined by the business

  • Communicate role related information between shifts, day staff, and business partners

  • Participate in facility management, including, but not limited to: managing materials & supplies, housekeeping, and managing waste in accordance with RCRA guidelines

  • Follow Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) and Operating Discipline /Quality Systemprocedures and practices

  • Assure compliance to rules and regulations such as EH&S, GMP and IATF 16949

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous analytical laboratory experience and/or technical training in analytical chemistry

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Proficiency with math andcomputer skillsrequired to perform role in Quality Control lab

In addition, successful candidate must meet the following physical qualifications, with or without accommodation:

  • Able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Able to work on feet for extended period of time (up to 75% of shift)

  • Good manual dexterity and fine motor skills

  • Able to work a reasonable amount of overtime per the contract and/or business needs

  • Provide coverage on weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as scheduled, and help cover for teammates

The role works on a forward rotating 7 & 2 schedule with 12 hour weekends
