The Field Service Technician performs maintenance/preventative maintenance/electrical and millwright-type functions. This includes rotating equipment assembly/disassembly, basic equipment maintenance, rotating equipment alignments, basic electrical troubleshooting, and control panel startups, setting adjustments, and troubleshooting. Essential Job Responsibilities: Removal and installation of rotating equipment Perform start-ups/commissioning of equipment Rotating equipment repair, recommendations to customers on repair options Preventative and predictive maintenance of rotating equipment Rotating Equipment assembly/disassembly & alignments Push/pull pumps and motors Install seals/packing Basic equipment maintenance (change oil, basic PM, troubleshoot basic mechanics, reporting) Understand and perform basic LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) functions Qualifications: High School or equivalent, with mechanical aptitude and skills Able to operate and read from a computer/laptop monitor; experience with Microsoft Office preferred Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be able to obtain MEC (Medical Examiner's Certificate) under DOT as a 'non-CDL' commercial motor vehicle driver Able to wear personal protection equipment, including a respirator as necessary Able to see differences between colors, shades, and brightness Able to hear sounds and designate differences between them, and talk via telephone and electronic devices in the workplace Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally Ability to work outdoors and possibly in inclement weather, willingness to work in wastewater environments as necessary At OTC Industrial Technologies, we believe that our employees are our greatest strength.
