With a legacy spanning over two centuries, Sulzer leads the industry, dedicatedly offering cutting-edge components and reliable maintenance solutions for various rotating equipment and turbomachinery such as pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, and generators. We are currently seeking an adept Quality Manager to enhance the oversight and management of Quality & Continuous Improvement initiatives in the North Region. This role involves spearheading improvement efforts across all sites within the area, aligning with significant growth and substantial investments in our Service Centres in the northern region. commitment to reliable quality and timely delivery is maintained through a combination of technical expertise and world-class engineering facilities.

Note: This role is home-based but involves regular travel to our Northern Service Centres located in Leeds, York, Middlesbrough, Falkirk, and Aberdeen. Applicants must be willing to travel and ideally live within a reasonable distance of one of the Service Centres.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Assist in supporting the development, implementation, management, and monitoring of regional quality system requirements, customer specifications, and third-party audit standards (e.g., Supplier Management, Customer Feedback, Non-Conformance Management).

  • Provide support for maintaining ISO 9001 and other relevant internal/external standards.

  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the region, contributing to cost-related project efficiency, on-time delivery (OTD), and overall customer satisfaction.

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead Management Reviews for each site in the region.

  • Support the creation and completion of management information, data, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the region.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven track record as a Quality Manager in an engineering/manufacturing environment, with previous experience managing a quality management system in a large multi-site organization.

  • In-depth understanding of ISO requirements and experience working in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.

  • Track record of driving positive change through process improvement initiatives.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of advanced Quality, LEAN, and Problem-Solving Tools/Techniques.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
