Position Summary:

The Logistics Billing Manager in the Logistics Business Operation will perform billing system administration, vendor payment, customer service, and financial activities including payments, reporting, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accurate Billing Process:
  • Process customer billing accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to deadlines and company policies.
  1. Correction Form Management:
  • Manage, analyze, and prepare correction forms for billing corrections in the access database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  1. Documentation Review:
  • Review and discuss essential freight documentation supporting charges invoiced and required for payment, ensuring compliance with billing standards.
  1. Financial Impact Analysis:
  • Utilize knowledge and gain an understanding of how billing functions affect the company's profit and loss statement, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  1. Carrier Billing Audit:
  • Audit carrier freight bills, interpret tariffs and contracts, and ensure accuracy in billing processes.
  1. Technology Utilization:
  • Work with internal technologies required for daily billing functions, including billing software and database systems.
  1. Error Investigation and Diagnosis:
  • Investigate and diagnose potential errors and duplicate carrier billing, implementing corrective measures to resolve discrepancies.
  1. Ad-Hoc Reporting:
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting as required, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
  1. Other Duties:
  • Perform other job-related duties as required by management, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the billing department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred

  • 2+ year experience as Management experience preferred

  • 8+ years of experience in accounting/finance/business or any other business experience or related experience in the logistics and transportation industry required.

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and budget management.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP CO Module) and advanced Excel skills (v-lookups and pivot tables).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Proactive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
