Position Summary: The Welder performs moderately complex automated and manual welding processes. This position ensures the utilization of standard processes on various types of materials in the fabrication or repair of assigned parts and products. This position will advocate and support the Corporate Win Strategy. Position(s) are available for first, second or third shift but training will take place on first shift. Shift Premium on second or third shift is $1.00 additional per hour. Minimum starting rate range is $18.00 - $21.00 per hour based on level of experience, qualifications, and length of service. Shifts: First Shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (8 hrs) and overtime 4:30 am - 3:00 pm (10 hrs) Second Shift: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (8 hrs) and overtime shift 3:00 pm - 1:30 am (10 hrs) or Third Shift: 8:00 pm - 6:30 am (8 hrs) and over time shift 6:00 pm - 6:30 am (10 hrs) Third shift starts Sunday evening. Essential Functions: * Read and understand product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements. * Perform operations to maintain, set up, and operate mig ,tig, resistance spot welding equipment and plasma cutting. * Responsible for maintaining, setting up, and operating CNC tubing cutoff lathe to ensure correct tubing dimensions are utilized. * Performs routine quality adherence checks. * Sets up, maintains and operates robotic and lathe welding applications and processes. * Occasionally maintains, sets up, and operates soldering, brazing and torch cutting equipment to perform maintenance or special production operations. * Performs these and other duties assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: * Experience 1-2 years performing the essential functions as described preferred. * Knowledge of precision measuring instruments. * Ability to stand for an extended period of time while exerting force up to 50 lbs. on occasion. * Knowledge of blueprint and drawing interpretation. * Ability to work overtime including scheduled Saturdays. * Vocational or technical schooling preferred.
