eVisit Software Engineer in Mesa, Arizona

eVisit, headquartered in Mesa, AZ, is a telemedicine software company seeking to revolutionize healthcare delivery by creating physician-first tools that fundamentally simplify healthcare. Our HIPAA compliant telemedicine software was built for providers, by medical physicians, to optimize patient flow and boost practice revenue; while providing added convenience and high-quality care to patients, whether at work, home, or on the road.

We are hiring a Software Engineer, and we'd like you to consider joining us!

We are driven by eVisit's mission: to simplify healthcare delivery to everyone, everywhere. We are creating technology to make it simpler for patients to connect with doctors, without having to go into the clinic.

Requirements

  • Develop and support proprietary applications, websites, and services using React

  • Serve as a technical lead contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external members to deliver products and features on-time

  • Maintain ownership of the codebase architecture and quality

  • Develop new software to help modernize Healthcare IT.

  • Assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing

  • Work with 3rd party vendors and customers to support their hardware on the eVisit platform

  • Evaluate processes, tools, and approaches to potentially incorporate into how we develop products to ensure we are always learning and improving

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience building enterprise web applications

  • Strong proficiency in React, Redux, RTK, and their ecosystems.

  • Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

  • Deep understanding of modern web applications design architecture, good API design patterns, performance, and scale.

  • Experience with the following is a plus: WebSocket, WebRTC, Twilio, video conferencing protocols and systems

  • Driven to own the process and deliver the solution

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve strategy based on research, data, and industry trends

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in a regulated environment (Healthcare experience HL7, EMRs)

  • Experience working with Ruby

  • Experience working with EHR and EMR platforms.

Communication:

  • Sound ability to express technical ideas fluently in English

  • Effective interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
