ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Safety Actively cares, promotes, manages, and advocates safety at Western States. As a leader and team member in the organization, it is critical to ensure all employees, vendors, and clients have a safe work environment while adhering to all applicable safety policies, procedures, and standards. Maintains clean/clutter free personal work areas to ensure safe environments for all WSECO employees. Adhering to required personal protective equipment (PPE) as identified in safety policy. Job Expectations Operates the mobile hose van in the established territory and perform hose inspections utilizing the CAT Inspect App. Builds hose assemblies efficiently in accordance with WSECO policy and procedures. Identifies various types of hoses and types of fittings, design and estimate custom hose assemblies in order to offer replacement options and fulfill client needs and application. Removes and replaces hydraulic hoses on construction and industrial equipment. Create sales orders to provide a client invoice for all transactions and provide quotes in a timely manner. Performs daily safety inspections and maintain safety logs of vehicles and equipment while adhering to good housekeeping and contamination control standards. Works closely with product support team and Hydraulic Product Support Specialist to pass on leads, provide feedback and provide growth opportunities for the business. Completes inventory, maintain appearance and operate mobile hose van to ensure productivity and professional representation to clients. Maintains, create and manage client relationships and prospect for new business. Other duties as assigned. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Develops and maintains effective working relationships with others and offer outstanding customer service to clients Understands, learns and uses computer systems for time entry, personnel data, e-mail, and basic dealer systems operational functions. Works overtime and on call while maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality. Mechanically inclined with a general understanding of machinery and hand tools. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Minimum of 1 year experience in hose building, hydraulics' or mechanics is required. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English). Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record required. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Ability to stand for long periods of time along with walking, sitting, repetitive climbing stairs, reaching (including but not limited to above-shoulder reaching), repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. in accordance with Western States' Lifting Policy to include amount and approach. Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.
