Under the supervision of the Golf Course Assistant Superintendent, the employee will perform grounds and facility maintenance at Lakeview Golf Course. This is an 8-month position that follows seasonal weather but may vary based on operational needs. Working hours include weekday, weekends and some holidays.\ \ Essential Duties & Responsibilities:\ \ Priority one is to support a safe and cooperative work environment;\ \ Maintain golf course greens and facilities;\ \ Operates irrigation equipment;\ \ Set up and mow greens;\ \ Collect golf ball from driving range;\ \ Set up course for daily play;\ \ Collects trash on facility grounds as needed; cleans golf carts;\ \ Supplies and cleans restrooms as necessary\ \ Assist with facility maintenance and minor repairs;\ \ May be required to operate a city vehicle towing a trailer with equipment;\ \ Assist with or performs other tasks as assigned or needed.\ \ \ Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\ \ High school diploma or equivalent and 1-year of experience working in golf course or parks maintenance;\ \ Ability to safely operate lawn mowers and lawn care equipment;\ \ Willingly perform routine manual labor;\ \ Understand and follow oral and written instructions; emptying trash containers weighing up to 50 pounds; work without constant supervision;\ \ Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions;\ \ Cordially provide information and directions to golf course patrons and general public;\ \ Interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner;\ \ Display an attitude of cooperation with all levels of city employees, the general public and other organizations\ \ Communicate effectively for efficient job performance; completes assignments in a time manner;\ \ Understand and comply with all rules, policies and regulations;\ \ Maintain prompt and regular attendance;\ \ Perform all essential and marginal tasks as assigned by supervisor and/or course manager with or without reasonable accommodation;\ \
