WESCO Warehouse Associate - Mount Waverley in Melbourne, Australia

Wesco Anixter have an outstanding career opportunity for a highly motivated team player as a Warehouse Associate for our Mount Waverley location. In this role you will report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. This is a permanent, full-time role with stability and work/life balance.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for

  • Picking, packaging and dispatching orders

  • Receiving stock, purchase orders and processing delivery dockets

  • Loading and unloading trucks

  • Offloading and loading pallets

  • Counting and checking stock to ensure quality control and solving stock discrepancies.

  • Ensure safe warehouse operations, especially regarding forklift use.

  • Liaise with couriers related to orders and deliveries.

  • General maintenance and upkeep of the warehouse

  • Customer contact for orders and ETAs

What You'll Bring

We pride in providing superior customer service and our most valued asset are our people. To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • 3 years experience in a Warehouse environment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Knowledge of customer service

  • Full driver’s license

  • Current Forklift license and experience is essential.

  • Problem solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.

  • Demonstrated organisational skills including the ability to work under pressure and multitask.

  • Intermediate PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Physical capabilities to lift and move heavy boxes.

  • Previous experience in a similar role or electronic retail industry is beneficial.
