The RoleDGM's Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) is a high growth area in our business that unlocks an electric distribution utility's ability to monitor, manage, control, and optimize the grid. As a Senior Principal Integration Design Engineer, you will be involved in several aspects of the successful delivery of systems to our customers. Your Impact Utilizing your experience and knowledge with system architectures, system integration patterns, and business processes, you will lead and advise utility clients and their system integrators as they implement ADMS solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor engaging with the utility customer, system integration providers, and other vendors as integrations are designed, built, and tested. Partnering with DGM functional teams (ADMS Application Engineers, Architecture and Product Solution teams, and Software Development), you'll will influence and provide guidance on the future direction of ADMS product integration capabilities and be a "voice for the utility" within DGM. This exciting role will report to the Director, ADMS Interface Design & Services. As a you will partner with our business development teams, project delivery teams, and utility customers to Understanding the ADMS products and platform architectures, customer solution needs, and system security concepts and needs to design ADMS system interfaces, based on use of standard ADMS product interface capabilities, platform architectures, and customer solution needs. Your responsibilities will include: Review and assess ADMS project proposals, requirements, and scope related to system integration and interfaces, then manage through the design and system integration interfaces used for customer systems and projects. You'll manage customer-facing workshop and training material on ADMS system integration (i.e., interfaces) and lead those workshops with ADMS customers to capture interface use cases, conduct data mapping exercises, and create interface design documents to enable the customer's integration efforts. Additionally, you'll provide training and subject matter expertise on ADMS system integration for DGM project teams, Independent Service Provider teams, and customers. Partnering with the project delivery and product development teams to troubleshoot and diagnose integration-related issues (both in-house and as part of customer projects when needed). Provide insights and guidance for improvements and optimizations for consideration as part of product roadmaps. Staying abreast of ADMS product developments (e.g., new features, functions, products), and determining how they may impact integration capabilities and designs. #LI-DH1 What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or related area. Minimum of 12 years of project implementation or operational experience, preferably in utility industry or other technical experience. Ability to travel up to 10%. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail with the ability to do systems analysis, database concepts, systems designs and programming languages. Comfortable working with system APIs and interfaces (RESTful, SOAP, file, real-time, batch). Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python Shell) and interface tools (e.g., SoapUI, Postman). Knowledge of modern integration platforms and patterns. Additional Qualifications and Experience Strong knowledge of utility business processes, workflows, and systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational an interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment and strong commitment to providing superior customer service.
