Aerotek Structural Welder in Maple Grove, Minnesota

MIG/Structural Welder wanted

Description:

  • Set-up, operate or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines.

  • Individuals will be MIG welding on a combination of heavy gauge stainless steel and mild steel.

  • Will be welding up to an inch thick and will be performing 3-pass welds.

  • Core product line is a variety of compactors, pavement maintenance and paving machinery.

  • Will be expected to safely layout, setup and weld components according to blue prints.

  • Manage workload in support of production requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

  • 2+ years of MIG welding experience on heavy gauge steel

  • Experience welding from blueprint

  • Understanding of GD&T

* Will consider students who are currently in a two-year program for welding. *

Work Environment:

  • Shop floor / fabrication environment (occasional loud noises of 80db or higher; limited exposure to ultra violet rays emitted by welding arc/plasma torch). Safety is extremely important.

  • Company provides all welding gear and equipment except steel toed safety boots (candidate is responsible for these on their own). If individual has a specific welding helmet they own, they are free to use it.

Hours:

2nd shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm (Mon-Fri)

3rd shift: 10:00pm - 6am (Mon-Fri)
