Our West Geography is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineerto join our multi-disciplinary teamin our Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland, or Seattle office. At Arup, we use the latest design technologies and analytic methods to deliver projects which make a real impact. Sustainability, carbon reduction, and resilience are at the core of what we do. We are looking for a skilled Senior Electrical Engineer who isexcited by the opportunitytoleaddesignsandprojects in the DataCenterspace.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of electrical systems on medium to large-scale complexprojects

  • Lead the preparationand reviewofdrawings and specifications.

  • Lead projects and work closely withour data centerclientsto deliver quality workto meet their specificneeds

  • Present technical material for review by technical and non-technical audiences.Have a good grasp over trends and standard methodologies in theindustry

  • Connect solutions/ideas to bigger picture projectand clientgoals

  • Delivertimelyfeedback and recognition toothers

  • Mentor and supervise junior staff and collaborate with skillful multi-disciplinary teams maximizing our experience at the local, regional, and global levels

* Qualifications*

  • Bachelorsdegree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering

  • 8 or more years of experience designing electrical systems for buildings, focus on data centers is aplus

  • Abilityto manage projectdeliverables andbudgetswhileeffectivelyprioritizingyour tasks and those of others, balance assigned work,and exceptional organization skills arerequired

  • Stronginterpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working

  • Experiencewith 3D BIM software - Revit MEP

* Preferred Qualifications*

  • Experiencewith design and analysis ofMedium Voltage powersystems

  • Experience with design and analysis of Building Power Distributionsystems

  • Experience with design and analysis of redundant/tieredpower distributionsystems

  • Experience with ‘business critical’infrastructure

  • ProfessionalEngineer License in US

  • Experiencewith power system modeling using SKM/ETAP or similarsoftware

  • Power flow studies

  • Short circuit analysis

  • Arc flashanalysis

Hiring Range: The good faith base salary hiring range for this job performed in California is$125,000 and $150,000.
