Amergis Psychiatrist Needed in Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California

Amergis (Formerly Maxim Physician Resources) is one of the major locum tenens agencies rated top 2 Forbes in healthcare staffing agencies. We fill physician, nurse practitioner, and mental health professional openings at hospitals, clinics, and various other facilities for both short and long term contracts. We’re currently seeking Psychiatrists to fill a few openings with a correctional facility in Los Angeles, CA offering competitive pay, flexible schedules, and great work-life balance.

Details & Responsibilities –

  • Competitive Pay

  • 3+ Month Extendable Contract

  • Flexible full-time or part-time schedules

  • 8 or 10 hour shifts

  • Full-time - 40 hours/week

  • Part-time - 20 hours/week minimum

  • Weekday or weekend shifts

  • Start Date – ASAP

  • Credentialing Estimate – 1 months

  • Psychiatry. Provide initial and ongoing psychiatric assessments, group counseling, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with other providers onsite.

  • Charting. Maintain accurate and timely medical records in patient’s health record.

  • Take a leading role in the treatment of patients. Collaborate & work with other providers, nurses and medical assistants to ensure a high standard of care.

  • Refer Patients. As needed, refer patients to off-site specialists.

  • Approximately 10 PPD.

    Required Qualifications –

  • BC/BE with ABPN or osteopath equivalent

  • Active/Unrestricted CA medical license

  • DEA Registration

  • BLS Certification
