Insight Global Change Manager Pro Sci (Hybrid LA) in Los Angeles, California

Job Description

A distinguished University in Los Angeles is looking for a Change Manager to join the IT PMO and report directly to the Director of the IT PMO. This role will be focused on three specific tasks - firstly, setting up a framework, process and procedure and re-evaluating how the University is managing IT projects at a high level. Secondly, they will work alongside the project managers on critical IT projects. Thirdly, they will coach and mentor IT staff in change management and best practices. The first roughly six months of the role will be more heavily skewed towards setting up frameworks, processes, and procedures, and over time will balance out with all three areas of focus more evenly. They may be handling small portions of many projects, or focusing heavily on one or two big projects at any given time. They will provide high level expertise on IT delivery and communication to stakeholders about projects and IT change adoption. This person does not need to be highly technical but does need familiarity with IT projects specifically as well as need strong leadership skills as they may be speaking to large groups at once, advocate, and lead the way on IT PMO change management. They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about converting to a full time role and looking to stay with the University for at least three years.

Skills and Requirements

-Change Management experience in an IT environment

-Prosci certification and at least 2+ years of experience working in a Prosci practice on technical projects utilizing it

 -Knowledgeable about the PCT triangle

-Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills: someone able to advocate, inform of change, be the backbone, and be up in front of large groups

 -Self-starting and self-sufficient with a shown a yearn for more and yearn for growth -Agile methodology familiarity

-SmartSheet experience for project management

-Higher Education background null
