Primary Purpose

The concrete construction laborer is responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at construction sites.

General Description

The concrete construction laborer job is physically demanding and requires good physical stamina, endurance to work in all weather conditions, and the strength to lift up to 50 pounds. Tasks involved include physical labor at construction sites; may operate hand and power tools of all types including air hammers, earth tampers, small mechanical hoists, measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.

The concrete construction laborer is responsible for; loading and unloading materials, shoveling dirt and concrete, cleaning forms, pickup of trash and debris from the work site, helping with crew operations and other miscellaneous tasks. The concrete construction laborer may operate vehicles and machinery. They will perform a daily inspection with a written inspection report for their vehicle/machinery. Concrete construction laborers may be asked to set or strip concrete forms, load, and unload materials. Concrete construction laborers are expected to perform all duties assigned by the Construction Manager, Superintendent, or Foreman, following instructions, adhering to company policies and requirements, and reporting for
