Primary Function The primary function of this position will be to maintain and upgrade our petroleum service station equipment in a safe and efficient manner while complying with the standards set forth by NYSDEC, EPA, PADEP, W&M, OSHA, and Reid Petroleum.

Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To) * Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fuel dispensing equipment including electronics and hydraulics, submersible turbine pumps, monitoring equipment, and point of sale systems.
* Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine appropriate cost-effective solutions. * Obtain and maintain industry and manufacturer certifications. * Safe and knowledgeable use of battery-operated tools. * Respond to after-hours emergency service requests for "site down" or other priority situations in an on-call rotation. * Accurately complete all necessary forms work orders, inventory, checklists, etc. * Maintain a neat, orderly, and well-organized service vehicle and inventory of repair parts. * Effectively communicate with customers, explain the issues, and repairs necessary for those that do not understand the equipment. * Take direction from the acting Supervisor and perform requested tasks safely/efficiently.

Pay Scale * 0-2 years of experience - $19-$20/hr. * 2-4 years of experience - $20-$23/hr. * 4+ years of experience - rate is negotiable. * Verifone Certified additional $1/hr. * Wayne Certified additional $1/hr. * Specialty Trade Certifications/Training additional hourly rate is negotiable.

Requirements * Commitment to safety and teamwork. * Able to meet the physical demands of the job. * Sit, stand, bend, stoop, and reach for long periods of time. * Working in tight spaces. * Lift up to 50 pounds. * Working at heights ladder and/or aerial lift. * Drive long distances * Willingness to work in all weather conditions. * No sensory aversion to petroleum products. * Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools. * Self-motivated. * Problem-solving skills (identify, analyze, implement). * Strong listening and communication skills. * Proficiency in math and reading. * Good eye-hand coordination. * Comfortable with technology. * Must be able to take direction from others and receive constructive feedback.

Minimum Qualifications * Must be at least 18 years of age. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Valid and clean NYS Class driver's license.
