Supports the Operations Leadership Team's business development and implementation efforts by overseeing and providing overall management of multiple complex projects such as operational readiness for equipment installation, footprint optimization, manufacturing automation, digital transformation and operations system improvements. The Operations Project Manager provides facilitation and direction throughout the duration of projects, from the scoping and design stage to final product. Functions performed include defining goals/deadlines, creating project plans, tracking budget constraints, maintaining documentation, mitigating risks, resolving issues and communicating with all project stakehold The Operations Project Manager requires both technical knowledge and expertise, business acumen and strong communication skills to manage project resources and activities for technical projects. The role typically works on both routine and more complex issues, often requiring development of solutions that rely on past experience, thorough understanding of business objectives/requirements, the organization's operations environment and ability to effectively utilize a wide range of project management tools.

Responsibilities

Work with the business and/or business analysts to define and refine requirements, scope and objectives Assist Operations teams with development of resource requirements, building project time-lines, managing interdependencies, securing required resources from leadership and facilitating communication with business clients Develop detailed work plans, including work breakdown structures, project milestones, risk assessment / management plans, staffing needs, project time-lines and budgets. Monitor and manage project governance, execution and delivery. This includes detailed tracking of project time-lines, budgets, resource utilization, activities, tasks and milestones Establish and provide clear and timely written and verbal project communications, including weekly status, dashboards and project updates. Updates may be made to project team members, business project owners and/or executive sponsors Pro-actively works to identify, mitigate and resolve actual and potential project risks, issues and conflicts. Appropriately escalates and involves best resources to resolve any given issue. Lead change management work including managing expectations and educating users about new products and changes in process, procedures and technology resulting from the project Review all project deliverables to validate adherence to quality standards and ensure that project requirements and objectives have been met Contribute to establishing and improving project management practices and delivery frameworks

Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Project and Office. Successful prior implementation of Lean Manufacturing and experience establishing manufacturing assembly processes Experience managing projects employing a variety of technologies and platforms. Skilled in managing multiple concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints. Ability to interface with CPI executives and stakeholders regarding issues of project scope and status Must be able to effectively communicate technical information and project status/issues to technical, non-technical personnel and leadership audiences either verbally or in writing. Acumen to facilitate productive meetings and drive outcomes. Demonstrated ability to solve problems, determine appropriate actions and complete projects with minimal direction Resourceful in establishing and nurturing key relationships across the IT, Operations, Sales and Corporate teams Demonstrate ability to multi-task in a fast paced environme t with stringent deadlines Strong documentation skills Ability to collaborate with multiple teams to align activities and how they should be executed Ability to participate in planning and/or capability development, where appropriate Requirements: This role will require 50% travel B.S. Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent work experience At least 4 years' project management experience; preferably in a manufacturing operations or industrial engineering role PMP or Certification preferred Decision Making Level: Role typically performs both basic and difficult duties with latitude to resolve issues based on application of standard project management best practices
