WTW Team Lead Software Engineering (.Net) in Lima, Peru

We’re looking for a creative, talented .NET Technical Lead to join our Platform Engineering Team. We are an agile development team that fully embraces the DevOps culture. You will lead the effort of building highly scalable applications and frameworks that support Tranzact’s line of business over the years to come.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the agile team to design and implement features to realize the platform’s vision and roadmap.

  • Managing, mentoring and providing technical leadership on the day-to-day tasks and priorities of the platform team.

  • Apply your experience and knowledge of software engineering best practices to ensure our applications are secure, robust, scalable and maintainable.

  • Continually improve our platforms, identifying opportunities, prioritizing payment of technical debt and refactoring the codebase to grow and evolve with current technology, the market, and end-user needs.

  • Evolve the team’s processes and practices to improve non-technical responsibilities like end-user support, documentation, maintaining architectural decisions, etc.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience building and maintaining web applications in .NET platform.

  • At least 1 year of experience leading an Agile team.

  • Hands-on technical leadership in software development, leading by example.

  • Good understanding of Domain Driven Development, TDD, Clean Code, Design Patterns and SOLID principles.

  • C# as a primary programming language.

  • Experience with Angular or React frameworks.

  • Commitment to communication and transparency; see value in sharing your thinking and work with others.

  • An outgoing, positive and assertive personality. A self-starter who works well with peers and others but is not afraid to speak up. A naturally curious and tenacious problem solver.

  • Advanced English skills and the ability to clearly communicate both written and orally in English.

  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
