Superior Forge & Steel Maintenance Millwright in Lima, Ohio

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring Millwrights for our operation. The Millwright is a member of our Maintenance Department responsible for providing mechanical maintenance support for plant facilities and equipment. This will be a 2nd or 3rd shift position.

Competitive wages $25.00 - $33.00 per hour based on experience, benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401(k), PTO, Vacation, Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS. This position is eligible for the production and other incentives.

Responsibilities:

  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining industrial buildings and machinery
  • Reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches
  • Possibly fabricating parts and assemblies
  • Welding, brazing, and cutting, shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, oxy-fuel
  • General plant maintenance
  • Perform department duties as needed

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

  • Must be capable of lifting and handling 50 lbs.
  • Will be exposed to seasonal temperature changes
  • Manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and vibration

     

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous mechanical or construction experience a plus
  • Welding skills a plus
  • Previous millwright apprenticeship program a plus
  • Basic math skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be able to work any shift
  • No prior plant experience required - Company paid apprenticeship program available
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen
