Superior Forge & Steel Electrician in Lima, Ohio

Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring an Electrician for our operation.  The Electrician is a member of our Maintenance Department responsible for providing electrical and electronic maintenance support for plant facilities and equipment. 

 

COMPETITIVE wages $26.50 - $34.50 per hour (based on experience), benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401(k), PTO and Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS. This position is eligible for production and other incentives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Installing and maintaining AC and DC industrial electrical equipment and control systems
  • Installing and maintaining facility electrical, lighting, and power distribution
  • Reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches
  • Mentoring less experienced/knowledgeable co-workers
  • Following company guidelines and directives
  • Performing various assigned department duties

     

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:

  • Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
  • Manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and vibration
  • This position has consistent daily physical demands

     

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Technical degree or electrical apprenticeship is a plus
  • Basic math skills required
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be able to work any shift
  • No prior plant experience required - Company paid apprenticeship program available
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen

     

Classification: Hourly
