Primary Function:

Plan, organize and direct all department activities. Responsible for achievement of overall corporate objectives at the departmental level.

 

Responsibilities include:

Develop and implement strategies, goals and plans to achieve departmental growth and profitability.

Monitor, review and manage to departmental key performance indicators (KPI's).

Determine scope of department work activities or projects, job objectives, schedules, and personnel assignments.

Schedule, assign and direct the work of department staff. Responsible for personnel transactions including but not limited to, hiring, performance reviews, transfers, promotions, etc.

Monitor quality and quantity of work performed by staff. Develop departmental standards and procedures and ensure compliance.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. Regularly evaluate efficiency of existing procedure and apply improvements where necessary.

Provide technical assistance and guidance for departmental staff as needed.

Maintain liaison with other departments to achieve overall corporate goals and objectives.
