ManpowerGroup Maintenance Supervisor in Lewisport, Kentucky

Manpower Engineering is seeking Maintenance Supervisors for our client in the Owensboro, KY area. Direct hire, on-site positions. Salaried exempt roles. Salary 80-90. Monthly incentive plan.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage between 5 and 10 union techs (mechanics, electricians and/or multicraft)

  • Reports to the area Maintenance Superintendent, will also collaborate with Maintenance Technical Advisors and may receive some direction from Engineers and/or Operation Manager.

  • Inspires employees to perform at high levels.

  • Sets and communicates clear performance standards and holds direct reports accountable for results.

  • Conducts performance appraisals and maintains performance metrics to monitor employee results; identify and initiate improvements for development and/or training.

  • Provides on-going coaching, feedback and development to increase employee performance and production.

  • Communicates effectively with direct reports and resolves conflicts within and between individual team members.

  • Ensures that the daily production goals for throughput, quality, target date and cost are being achieved by his or her team.

  • Ensures that a safe job execution has priority over a quick job execution.

  • Leverage the company’s Safety System and Safety Principles to create a zero-injury culture.

Who are we seeking?

  • Must have previous supervision or lead experience.

  • Union experience is a huge plus

  • Must be able to develop rapport with direct reports, while at the same time maintain accountability

  • Will be required to rotate shifts in a 24/7 operation. Will work 4 on 4 off. The 4 on will be 2 days at 7a-7p, followed by 2 days at 7p-7a includes nights, weekends and holidays. (8.35% shift premium).

  • Knowledge of hydraulics, welding, mechanical systems and or electrical experience is a plus.

  • High school diploma / GED required.

  • Ability to understand the manufacturing process and technical knowledge to ensure product quality and flow.

  • Ability to understand how activities impact cash conversion, EBITDA and other key financial metrics.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety policies and procedures, HR policies, standard work documents, maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, charts etc.
