Psychiatrist - Ambulatory Services –Lawrence, Ma.

BILH BS is one of a small number of providers recently awarded a contract with the state of Massachusetts for a Community Behavioral Health Center. The aim of the CBHC is to provide low barrier access of all members of the communities we serve while closely collaborating with emergency services, and other care providers. They successful candidate will provide direct outpatient psychiatric services through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, counseling, and psychopharmacological treatment of assigned patients. They work as a member of an interdisciplinary team for the management of complex psychiatric patients in a community mental health clinic setting, Duties within the multidisciplinary team includes, but is not limited to: team clinical rounds, critical patient risk review, teaching of clinical interns and psychiatric residents, and participates in quality improvement initiatives. They will provide ongoing, periodic supervision to psychiatric nurse practitioners, as directed by the Medical Director.

Additional responsibilities include providing physician coverage for Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS,) Emergency Services, and/or Addictions no more than 6 weekends and one holiday per year; participates in vacation coverage during normal business hours. Coverage is typically managed via telephone, rare in-person coverage may be required. Alternative or weekend schedule options are available for onsite medical coverage.

Must have current licensure as physician in the State of Massachusetts, current licensures with the DEA and State of Massachusetts for controlled substances (Buprenorphine licensure mandatory), and current eligibility or certification with the Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
