onsemi Facilities Manager in Lapu-Lapu City, Philippines

The Facilities Manager will be expected to be hands-on and carry responsibility for ensuring installation, maintenance, performance, modification, and economical operation of the site facilities equipment and infrastructure. The Facilities Manager will monitor infrastructure systems, plan maintenance, and modifications, implement facilities schedules, and ensure efficiency/entitlement in the factory. A working knowledge of facility sub-systems is required such as HVAC, electrical distribution, process cooling water systems, compressed air, and gas distribution systems.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages and leads facility operations, facility engineering, and project management across the site.

  • Plan efficient and effective allocation of resources including development, direction, and achievement of facility budget.

  • Performs short/mid/long term planning for the site facilities equipment, constructions, building, and space utilization.

  • Physically audits/guides the work of subordinates and construction projects to ensure full government regulatory compliance.

  • Performs management evaluation and competency training, and development of facilities engineering and operations personnel.

  • Develop full-scope contingency plans for plant utilities' emergency stoppage.

  • Establishes a system to proactively manage efforts to minimize risk and to achieve and maintain compliance with regulatory and internal standard requirements.

  • Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, or replacement of plant equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.

  • Ensures UPS systems, battery back-up, process cooling water systems, compressed air systems, and plumbing infrastructure are all operating at its entitlement.

  • Works closely with all departments to ensure facilities follow National, State, and local building/ mechanical/ electrical codes; safety codes, OSHA regulations; fire codes; onsemi’s policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Assists in the initiation, implementation, and management of the plant maintenance program based on best practices in manufacturing, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling of preventative/predictive maintenance.

  • Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment. Initiates reordering when necessary.

  • Assists in the ongoing review of the operation of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime, proactively solve problems in a timely manner and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
