Transportation Director Job Highlights: * 403(b) Retirement Plan; * Career scholarships; * Quality training, continuing career education and leadership programs; * Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance * Paid Time Off (Vacation, Holiday & Sick Days) About the job: Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30 PM Pay: $25.00-$30.00/HR The Transportation Director Under the supervision of the Center Director, this position is responsible for the transportation program, including transport of residents/participants, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other transportation as deemed necessary. Responsible for hiring, training and supervision of all drivers and dispatchers. Oversees vehicle repairs and maintenance. Responsible for meeting departmental budget goals. Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * High school diploma required; college degree preferred * Valid Driver's License in state of hire.. * Two (2) years of administrative/supervisory experience, in a transportation setting * Five (5) years of experience in the transportation industry * Have (1) years' experience in working with the frail or elderly population * Must be able to clear Background Check and Drug Scree * Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation Essentials: * Supervises the transportation departmental staff. Responsible for departmental hiring, orientation, competency, and training procedures. * Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Maintains regular attendance at, and participants in Interdisciplinary Team meetings; communicates participant changes, collaborates on plan of care decisions and coordination for twenty-four (24) hour care delivery. * Communicates Interdisciplinary Team decisions, participant changes, plan of care changes, and updated information to transportation staff on a daily basis. * Ensures responsibility for running and maintaining transportation scheduling software program. * Ensures effective daily communications, via radio calls or otherwise, between PACE Center, transportation drivers, dispatch and Transportation Coordinator. * Ensures the scheduling, coordination, communication of the driver route assignments of Senior Community Care Program. * Ensures the scheduling of transportation for all participants outside appointments.
