Ale House 1890 Kitchen Manager in Lancaster, Ohio

Ale House 1890, located in the historic business district of Downtown Lancaster, Ohio, is currently seeking an experienced professional to be our Kitchen Manager (KM). The KM will be pro-active in the operation of the kitchen with the responsibilities including but not limited to; maintaining food and safety standards, employee scheduling, food cost controls, menu setup, food ordering, ensuring food quality and cook times during meal service, happy hour, group sales and late-night business. The KM will also fill cook positions as needed. The KM will also report to the Head Chef and GM as well as work closely with the front of the house and back of the house to ensure all measures are properly taken to meet company standards. KM needs to have a strong grill and sauté background and be able to handle heavy volume. KM must possess the ability to cut labor and run a lean kitchen staff when the need arises. KM must be able to lead and train staff in various positions of the kitchen.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as Chef, Kitchen Manager, Assistant Manager, Assistant Kitchen Manager or Kitchen supervisor experience required.
  • Food experience in high volume restaurant preferred.
  • Knowledge of recipes.
  • Understand safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to manage a team in fast paced work environment.
  • Able to be certified and uphold all Fairfield County Health Department and ServSafe guidelines.
  • 2-year degree with 3 years of industry experience preferred.* *

Pay: Negotiable to experience 45K starting+Benefits
