Responsibilities This is a full-time cost accountant position in the Supply Chain Finance & Accounting Department. Under the direction of the Plant Controller, this position is responsible for cost accounting and will assist with the month end close process at the Lake Mills location. This position is estimated at approximately 40 hrs per week and serves as a costing and accounting resource in support of the location’s Supply Chain organization. RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete accurate and timely standard cost updates, as required for month end close and Workflow requests Prepare accurate month end journal entries related to misc. accruals and drop ship adjustments Responsible for SAP item maintenance, including the review and update S status items Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial close and KPI reporting Assist in month end variance analysis Update capital project reporting Calculate and review weekly PPV and resolve any issues prior to month end Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts for the Lake Mills location including full operations and Transportation and Warehouse Maintain Fixed Asset management system (CPR’s/Adds/Disposals) Develop and assist in preparation of weekly cost center overhead spend summary Back up to AP and secondary back up to Inventory Analyst Support Plant and Distribution on financial reporting analysis when needed. Assist with account reconciliations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Zero to two years of experience in the manufacturing industry in a cost accounting environment.
