Company Overview

Spring Dell Center is seeking a supportive, dedicated, and flexible Employment Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting people with disabilities in guiding them through assessments, job searches, interviews, resumes, employment, and promotions. The Employment Professional will play a key role in both seeking and maintaining employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Employment Professional

  • Salary:       $19.07/hour

  • Job Type:  Full Time

  • Location:   La Plata

Duties Include but not limited to:

  • Identify employment opportunities with the people supported based on individualized assessment information through assessments and inventories.

  • Conducts individualized job development by speaking with employers in the community about the person's abilities and desires to obtain employment.

  • Assist participants in preparing for interviews, completing job applications, and developing job-related skills.

  • Develop positive relationships with businesses, community agencies, other departments, and outside vendors.

  • Conduct assessments to identify accommodations) for each person.

  • Provide discovery, job development, follow along support and ongoing job supports to the people supported at their places of employment, including job coaching and advocacy as needed.

Provide transportation to and from places of employment, as needed.

  • Complete accurate and timely daily documentation of all employment services.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more

  • Clean Driving Record with 2 years driving experience

  • Experience working with disabled adults preferred

  • Associate Degree Preferred

  • Basic Computer Skills

  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the participants and demands of the job.

  • DDA, LTSS and ICM experience is a plus
