Job Description

The purpose of this job is to manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable research and vendor master functions.

  1. Supervise and provide daily oversight of team; select, coach, train, and develop direct reports to include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviews

  2. Review and maintain AP vendor master data with a routine cadence of data cleansing

  3. Perform annual 1099 filing and reporting in compliance with state and/or IRS standards and deadlines

  4. Review vendor statement reconciliations and drive processes to ensure timely invoice processing to maximize vendor discounts.

  5. Research and report unclaimed property

  6. Review balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis and ensure all reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner

  7. Review and release journal entries

  8. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

  9. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

  10. Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required

  • Minimum five years experience in accounting or related area required

  • Minimum of one year’s supervisory experience preferred

Specialized Knowledge

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Familiarity with Lawson/Infor or similar financial software

  • Familiarity with ReconNet or other reconciling management applications

  • Familiarity with 1099 Reporting Requirements
