Echodyne is seeking an Electronics Test Technician to join our team working in a fast-paced environment developing high-performance commercial radar solutions.

> ### As a Electronics Test Technician, you will play a key role in the production of Echodyne radars, enabling us to meet aggressive production goals while maintaining the highest of quality. You will contribute to solving and learning from challenging problems and root-cause investigations related to system-level and board-level failures, all related to state-of-the-art radar. In this role, you will draw upon your background in electronics test to aid in the quick progression through the smallest assessments to the largest debug efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform scripted and un-scripted tests on Echodyne Radar systems and subsystems in collaboration with development engineering to pursue root-cause identification of failures
  • Localize failures to the subsystem level to be addressed by rework before re-entry to the production flow
  • Compile test and measurement data, distilling into key performance metrics to aid in the identification of systemic issues
  • Develop and document debug methodologies in support of resolving emergent failure modes
  • Work with the electrical engineering, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure the completeness of root-cause analysis and the soundness of corrective and preventative actions
  • Other related tasks required to fulfill the needs of the business

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

  • Hands-on experience working with micro-electronics printed circuit assemblies in a lab environment
  • Familiarity with in ESD (electro-static-discharge) equipment and procedures
  • Experience using digital and analog test and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters
  • Familiar with the use of RF test equipment such as Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and signal generators
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups
DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills)
  • Python experience for interfacing with test equipment a plus
  • Experience assessing standard RF test metrics such as return-loss, gain, noise-figure, compression point and bandwidth
  • Understanding of analog/mixed signal circuits related to power development and distribution, I2C and SPI bus protocols, and clock synthesis and distribution
  • Ability to read a schematic to identify test-points, components, and circuits
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience performing hands-on electronics measurement
  • Eligibility to handle export controlled data (ITAR, EAR)
