Required Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. The Laborer (Technician Intern) performs tasks that prepare them to pursue the Engineering Technician field as a career path. In your role as a Technician Intern, you will train to operate as a member of a team of technicians supporting a variety of Department of Defense weapon systems programs as part of the Potomac River Test Ranges Environmental and Component Test mission to provide the highest quality systems to this countrys warfighters.

Skills Needed:

Current student enrolled in course training with a community college or other technical institution, as a HVAC technician, in addition to studies as an electrician, and vibration testing related coursework in good academic standing.

Duties:

*Work and learn techniques required to operate as part of a team of technicians and engineers.

*Apply the skills and knowledge you have gained through education to be used on various projects.

*Function under safety guidelines, checklist work procedures, and standard operating procedures as required.

*Learn to effectively communicate with engineers, technicians, and supervisors on a regular basis.

*Learn duties and responsibilities specific to that location and functional role.

*General maintenance and support of environmental facilities and equipment.

*Must be at least 18 years old.

Desired Qualifications:

Work outdoors. Self-motivated.

Must remain enrolled in the current program of study to remain eligible for the Intern Program. Compliance with health mandates as dictated by the contract may be required as a condition of employment.
