Serco Web/Linux Administrator in Kettering, Ohio

Position Description

DMAC 2 supports a wide variety of legacy Air Force Depot Maintenance Applications sustaining and migrating them for the future!

Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our soldiers! Our team has been recognized for providing top quality services in support of these customers!

As a Web/Linux Administrator you will be providing support for production and development teams for Apache and PHP configuration, Shell Scripting, and some Linux Administration.

This position is hybrid and will require you to report to the Kettering office 2 days per week.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop Shell Scripts to perform installation, maintenance, and surveillance/monitoring

  • Support/configure/maintain Apache and PHP

  • Support Linux Administrative functions

  • Utilize Agile Tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Zephyr to support incremental development.

  • Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization

  • Communicate with the development team and stakeholders to successfully address requirements.

  • Work in a Linux (Red Hat) environment

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Associates Degree

  • 2 years or more working as an Web/Linux Systems Administrator

  • Experience with the following:

  • Shell Scripting

  • Apache httpd

  • PHP

  • Red Hat Linux

  • Agile processes (SAFe, Scrum)

  • Atlassian Toolset (Jira, Confluence, Zephyr)

  • Experience working multiple projects simultaneously and handing changing priorities.

  • The ability to travel up to 10%

  • The ability to obtain a NACI

  • The ability to report on-site in Kettering 2 days per week.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Familiarity withOracle PL/SQL

  • Familiarity with Tomcat and/or JBOSS

  • Bachelors or advanced degree

  • Agile certification
